NCAA Basketball: Penn State at Nebraska Bruce Thorson-USA TODAY Sports

Big weekend for Husker men and women basketball. While the ladies were barely beat by a very good Maryland team they did end up with the #3 seed in the Big Ten Basketball Tournament. A huge jump from last year when they ended the season 8-22 and 3-13 in the Big Ten. They ended this season 20-9 and 11-5 in the Big Ten. A huge jump for second year coach Amy Williams.

Maybe Eichorst didn’t do so bad on coaching hires....

It would be poor of me to not mention the Husker men’s squad. They fully dominated Penn State at home 76-64 at home to a very loud sellout crowd at Pinnacle Bank Arena. With the win they have secured the #4 seed in the Big Ten Tournament and a nice two game bye cushion that will benefit them greatly in New York.

Husker baseball went 2-2 in the Big Ten/PAC 12 Challenge this weekend. They beat Utah twice and were defeated by #2 ranked Oregon State twice.

Not a bad weekend for Huskers sports.

Anyway, on to flakes...
