Nebraska heads on the road for the final contest of the 2017-2018 regular season. They got a shot at taking down the Big Ten Champions Maryland. A win here would be huge for the Huskers NCAA Tournament hopes as they currently sit on the wrong side of the bubble.

Nebraska hosted Maryland playing them tough in Lincoln, losing by a final score of 64-57. Look for another low scoring defensive battle, as the Huskers try to get the second overall seed of the Big Ten Tournament locked down.

Live Stats

The Nebraska Baseball team finishes up the Big Ten/Pac-12 Challenge looking to even their record at 2-2 for the weekend. Nebraska was outscored by Oregon State in two games 19-4, while they took the first contest from Utah 4-2 in 10 innings Friday night.

Matt Warren is expected to start for Nebraska while Utah has annouced that Brett Brocoff will start. Brocoff struck out 12 last time out for the Utes, who were on the wrong end of a 20-13 score last night against Ohio State. Expect to see lots of tired bullpen arms for Utah, potentially a good combination for a Husker team looking for their first extra base hit in three games.

This is it for the regular season. After this it is the Big Ten Tournament. If all goes well then our mighty Huskers will head to the NCAA Tournament. The NIT at the very least. Hopefully a decent seeding in either one.

The Vault should be packed this afternoon. People are energized for this game and it’s supposed to be nice out. Expect things to get loud and rowdy at Pinnacle Bank Area if Nebraska plays well. Expect even worse if the Huskers end up with a blowout.

Nebrasketball fans are long over due for a decent ending to a season. This team has already broken the 20 win mark on the year. What could be next? What do you think will be the end story for this team?

Anyway, on to the game.
