The Huskers are very quickly becoming a bubble team. They are currently sitting at 54 with regards to RPI. Maryland is currently at 59. A win tonight will get them just a little bit closer to breaking 50. A loss would put them a little bit farther away.

Both teams need this win if either of them want to see the NCAA Tournament. As of now, Nebraska has the better chance of making it of the two. Maryland would like to change that.

The Terps are not going to be a pushover in any sense of the word. Yes, they’ve only won one conference road game all year and it was to Illinois. However, they are healed up and should bring a fairly decent threat for the Huskers. If Nebraska comes out flat, it could be a long night.
