Week 13 Cob Nominations: Rivalry Week

Things got pretty heated in this week of college football.

Mississippi State-Ole Miss brawl

Let’s just say things got a bit scrambled in the Egg Bowl. Chaos erupted which led to 4 players being ejected from the game while every player on both teams was given an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. The Bulldogs ended up stomping the Rebels 35-3.

Oregon State

This trick play by the Beavers turned out to be a disaster. They ended up losing the ‘Civil War’ to Oregon 55-15.

Oregon’s uniforms

I’m also nominating Oregon for wearing these god awful highlighter yellow uniforms. How are fans supposed to watch Oregon play in those?

Michigan State-Rutgers game

Rutgers was on driving at the end of the game on the cusp of defeating Michigan State until this happened. What a way to cap off a terrible game by both teams.

Michigan

All the Wolverines had to do is finish off the struggling Buckeyes in order to reach the Big Ten championship and a shot of qualifying for the College Football Playoff. Instead they ended up giving smoked by Ohio State 62-39. Is Harbaugh on the hot seat again?

Wisconsin

Bucky didn’t show up at all on Saturday and the Gophers made them pay. As a result, Minnesota dominates Wisconsin 37-15 and takes Paul Bunyan’s Axe home to the Twin Cities for the first time in 15 years.

BYU

The Cougars were up 20-0 at halftime to their instate rivals Utah. They ended up choking away their lead and lost to the Utes 35-27. I guess it’s in the BYU ‘Honor Code’ to play like this against Utah.

We’re back to another solid list of cob nominations for Week 13 of College Football. Unfortunately you can only choose one. What is your pick?
