It’s November, and while college football is almost entering the magical time of bowl season the NFL is just getting started. Everybody who watches football knows that November games are far more important than September games. This is the part of the season where some teams kick it it into high gear. Some of these teams have former Huskers on them, but others like the New York Jets have been stagnant. Even though the New England Patriots are usually excellent in November they lost this past weekend to the Titans, but maybe when Rex Burkhead comes back from IR in a couple of weeks they’ll be even better.

Offense

Quincy Enunwa WR- New York Jets: I don’t know how the Jets got creamed by the Buffalo Bills this past weekend. I put the Jets defense on my fantasy team because the Texans had a bye, and that didn’t help me at all. The Bills have an awful offense, but were able to put up 41 on the Jets. Meanwhile, the Jets only managed to put up 10. Enunwa ended up having four receptions for 18 yards. The Jets are on a bye this week.

Defense

Prince Amukamara CB - Chicago Bears: The Bears beat the Lions on Sunday and Amukamara had a great game. He had eight total tackles, two passes defended and one interception. This was Amukamara’s second interception on the season. The Bears play the Vikings on Sunday at 7:20.

Lavonte David LB - Tampa Bay Buccaneers: The Buccaneers continue their downhill slide as they lost to the Redskins this past weekend. I don’t know much about the Bucs this season other than the Bucs have a quarterback controversy and that David has been an important part of their defense. He recorded seven tackles in this game and is eighth on the season in tackles. David sprained his MCL in the game against the Redskins and he is questionable in the Bucs game against the Giants the Sunday at noon.

Randy Gregory DE - Dallas Cowboys: The Cowboys played the Eagles on Sunday and Gregory had one sack. This was the first time I’ve seen Gregory look like his college self in the NFL. The Cowboys play the Falcons on Sunday at noon.

Ndamukong Suh DT - Los Angeles Rams: This was a HUGE game for Suh, he had nine tackles and half a sack against the Seahawks. This was Suh’s highest tackle performance in 2018. The Rams’ defense has been a little disappointing given the amount of talent on that side of the ball. The Rams’ defense is in for a challenge this week as they take on my Chiefs on Monday Night Football. This game was originally supposed to take place at Azteca Stadium in Mexico City, but the game was moved because of problems with the field condition.

Special Teams

Brett Maher K - Dallas Cowboys: Maher had three attempted field goals and made two of them. Both of his makes were made from inside 40 yards. He also made all three of his extra point attempts. The Cowboys play the Falcons on Sunday at noon.
