Nebraska may not have been able to keep his brother but Creighton Prep star and No. 1 instate recruit Akol Arop has pledged is commitment to the scarlet and cream on Wednesday night.

If the last name is familiar it’s because his older Brother Aguek Arop was a Nebraska commit early in his high school career before deciding to take his talents to San Diego State. His decommitment didn’t seem to deter Akol from wanting to come to Lincoln and continue his basketball career.
The 6’6” Akol is athletic and is known for his hops on the court. He is a three star player on Rivals.com and 247. The small forward averaged 16 points, 9.7 rebounds, and shot 65% from the field during his junior year for the Blue Jays. The season was finalized with a 26-1 record and the Class A Championship.
Nebraska beat out the likes of Drake, UNO, Tulsa, and San Diego for his talents. While those names may not impress too much, he was starting to get interest from in-state rival Creighton. I would not be surprised if he gets more interest from bigger teams once his senior season gets under way.
The Cornhuskers are down to one spot left in the 2019 recruiting class.
