Week 6 Cobs: The Worst Of College Football This Week

There was a lot bad going on.... and you get to vote on it.

It’s getting harder to obey my own rule about not cobbing the Huskers, but 0-6 is the worst start for a Nebraska team since the Conquest of England by William the Bastard in 1066. That’s right folks, you can go back 952 years and not find a Nebraska team that started 0-6. This high quality statistical insight is why they pay me the big bucks folks. Don’t try this at home.

Rutgers: The nomination comes after what might be the longest onside kick in the history of college football. Or maybe not? Long Onside Kicks is not an official stat category.

The BTN Crew for the Nebraska-Northwest game: Apparently the Huskers game got the interns this week.

Big Ten Refs: chew on this folks. I know we are playing sloppy, but when you’re #1 out of 1613 teams, something is going on.

Bowling Green State University: BGSU has one more win that Nebraska this year, but they fired their coach and hired....

wait for it....

wait for it....

Carl freakin’ Pelini.

Funny. I never thought of BGSU as a party school.

FWIW, Carl seems less than excited about the promotion. More than a day after the announcement his Twitter stills lists him as the DC at BGSU.
