Corbin Frederick, 5-11 190lb safety prospect from Mansfield, TX accepted a Preferred Walk-on offer from Nebraska today. Frederick attended the same school as defensive back and Husker commit Cam’ron Jones. The two players considered themselves a package deal, so Nebraska offered Frederick a PWO offer at the same time Jones was offered a scholarship. After mulling over scholarship offers from Navy and San Diego State, Corbin decided to stay with his teammate and chose the Huskers.
Confession: I didn’t watch his highlights. The Uglydog Hacienda is having some internet difficulties, and I had to bury my good friend Rodney today, and I had just had enough. Watch them and tell me about him in the comments. The guy has division 1 offers; this is a pretty good pickup. Defensive Back is an key area of need, so his contribution of depth alone will be important to building the team.
Welcome to the Husker family, Corbin! GBR!
