A win in basketball can make up for a loss in football to many Big Ten schools. I’m not sure Nebraska is one of those. For some reason I don’t see our fan base relieved if we win against Iowa tonight. They’ll most likely still be upset over the loss to the Hawkeyes in November.

That’s fine, there are a lot of things in the Big Ten we don’t get.

This is basketball. It may not make up for a loss in another sport but it does get us one step closer to the big dance. The remaining schedule is a bit weak and the Huskers need all the wins they can get to make a chance of the NCAA Tournament. This game is one of those.

A win against Iowa tonight will be a nice step forward for the team. I expect Pinnacle Bank Arena will be full and I hope for the players sake it’s loud.
