It’s safe to say that we are knee deep into winter right now. As I write this a nice cloud of snow is covering the area outside of my winder. It’s almost as if a cloud of snow is slowing engulfing the area. It’s getting darker out so it is developing a somber feel for the moment.
I enjoy winter and all that comes with it. The cold, snow, and ice have always been good in my mind. There’s very few things better than bundling up and ice fishing, skiing, or snow shoeing through freshly packed snow. Just to name a few things.
I even enjoy a nice winter run. Though, I usually don’t venture out if the wind is too crisp or it’s below twenty or so degrees out. Even I have my limitations. Maybe someday I’ll have it in me to venture out in any condition.
I honestly can’t imagine living in a place where you do not experience this for at least one fourth of the year.
Winter is also great for watching both indoor and outdoor sports if you are up for the challenge. Pond hockey is always fun. You’ve also have basketball going on all over the country right now. Yeah, you might have to bare some chill getting to the game but the entertainment inside is usually worth it. I mention this because the Winter Olympics are also right around the corner. Giving us a whole bunch of entertainment that will go on morning noon and night.
