Mike Williams, 5-10 180lb wide receiver, hails from East Mississippi Community College, which some of you may recognize from the Netflix series “Last Chance U.” A three-for-two player, Williams had originally signed with Georgia Southern before going the JUCO route. In high school he was a two star, but his offer list does not match that rating. His top three offers were from Tennessee, UCLA and Nebraska when he decided to visit the weekend of Jan 12 and sign before the Jan 15 cutoff for JUCO’s.
Watching film, this guy is fast. Fast, fast, fast. Hudl lists a 4.38 40, and his film shows great juke and cut moves. This is a guy who can come back and get open on a broken play, make the catch, and burn defenders getting big yards. Although his rating is unspectacular, his offer list shows his potential.
This puts our class ranking at 38, one position behind Wisconsin. Welcome to the Husker family, Mike! GBR!
