Nebraska just received the commitment of 6’3” 170 pound shooting guard Xavier Johnson of Arlington, Virginia. He picked the Huskers over the likes of Georgia Tech, Georgetown, and Creighton.

Xavier is currently a 3 star on 247 and 4 star from ESPN and has been looked at as an underrated recruit in the ‘18 cycle. He averaged 10.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game his junior year at Bishop O’Connell. He has been getting notice this past summer by playing well in the AAU summer circuit across the US.
His ability to shoot well will hopefully help out the Huskers and the shooting woes that have plagued the team in recent seasons.
This is a huge and much needed get as the last few targeted commits ended up going elsewhere. Xavier joins Brady Heiman of Plainview, NE as the two commits of the ‘18 class. There is room for two more in the class.
