In a ground-shaking afternoon for Nebraska Athletics, Football HC Mike Riley addressed reporters after practice on Thursday. The Huskers are trying to get to 2-2 on the season, with a game vs. Rutgers at 2:30 on Saturday afternoon coming up.
And, by gosh, if you were thinking the Huskers would be getting healthier, welp.

Decker working at center, Conrad questionable.
Jaimes starts RT
Morgan questionable#Huskers
Brendan Jaimes goes into the fire as the true Freshman goes for Matt Farniok and David Knevel. Very interesting to me how Cole Conrad is questionable and Michael Decker will get at it in center.
Stanley Morgan has a neck issue. Hasn't practiced all week. Hopefully ok Saturday. #Huskers

Interestingly enough, I thought it was a foot issue that hampered Stanley Morgan during the game last week.
Yes, Riley was asked about the Shawn Eichorst dismissal as well.
Riley on Eichorst's firing: "I was taken aback, surprised and probably flat-out saddened by the whole deal." #Huskers

Riley: "We only know one way to do it. Going to first think of our players and coaching them. Just continue to do our job." #Huskers

Riley going high road here is a good look. Playing for your team, school and fanbase is what the players probably should be worrying about. Granted, that is easier said than done.
Somehow, the Huskers will welcome Rutgers, as we mentioned above. Will they win? We hope so, I think.
