The Northern Illinois Huskies lead the Nebraska Cornhuskers 14-0 at half.
There’s really only one thing you need to know:
Nebraska quarterback Tanner Lee is 15-for-26 for 147 yards with two interceptions, both of which turned into the 14 points for Northern Illinois.
But More Things Happened:
Nebraska’s offense had a good thing going on their first drive, as they easily drove down the field against the Huskies’ defense, with seven plays going 65 yards. Then Tanner Lee took forever to throw an out pass which was read by NIU’s Shawun Lurry, who easily took it 87 yards for a Husky touchdown.
Bright spots for Nebraska’s offense - Mikale Wilbon, who received his first start today, has rushed 13 times for 62 yards. Demornay Pierson-El has seven receptions for 83 yards.
A Nebraska field goal attempt by Drew Brown just before half was blocked.
In more good news - Nebraska’s defense did not allow a score.
