St. Louis WR Cameron Brown Commits To Nebraska Football Once Again

Looks like the second time is the charm for the Christian Brothers WR and the Huskers

NCAA Football: Purdue at Nebraska Bruce Thorson-USA TODAY Sports

Well, let’s try this again.

The Huskers have the commitment once again of Cameron Brown, a 6’1” wideout out of Christian Brothers College HS in St. Louis, Missouri.

Brown, who originally committed to the Huskers back on May 7 only to back off of that on June 10 of this year, visited the Huskers on their second Friday Night Lights camp this past June.

Brown is the 311th best player in the 2018 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He is the 55th best WR in the ‘18 cycle as well, plus he is the 7th best player in the state of Missouri at this time. Rivals has him as the 78th best WR in the ‘18 cycle and the 11th best player in the state of Missouri.

Besides Nebraska, Brown sported offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia & Missouri as part of his 14 Power 5 offers.

Nebraska had Brown in-house until he visited Columbus for a camp, at which time he got an offer from Ohio State. The very next day, he decommitted from the Huskers, but making sure to mention that it was not OSU related.

Since then, as mentioned above, the Huskers have kept after Brown and got him to come to Lincoln with everyone else that June night. Keith Williams deserves the credit once again, as he kept with a WR target that was on top of Nebraska’s target board.

The Nebraska recruiting class of ‘18 gets a little bit of a much-needed boost here, as they get back in the top 25 with the Brown verbal. It also bumps up a couple spots in the Big Ten race, as it’s Ohio State, Penn State and everyone else. Nebraska needed this to kick off some needed momentum to finish off this class, which started fantastically but has hit a cooler this July.

Coffee, Keith Williams.
