We kind of had a feeling that Kenny Wilhite’s tweet earlier today meant some good news for folks later on.
Nothing like being rewarded for your hard work and dedication. Congrats to dem Boyz! #Respect #Believe #WalkOnU

And now we know the players that the Nebraska Cornhuskers coaching staff have awarded scholarships to for the season.
Walk-ons who will be on scholarship:

Cole Conrad, Luke McNitt, Tyler Hoppes, Connor Ketter, Gabe Rahn, Brett Claussen #Huskers
As a reminder, since these kids were walk-ons, scholarships are a one-year entity. They are not four-year offer or remainder-of-eligibility thing, more a year-to-year renewal.
WR Gabe Rahn among the #Huskers who earned a scholarship. Said his first call was to his wife. "It takes a lot of perseverance."

It sounds like Mike Riley rested his QB1 today, as Tanner Lee didn’t toss the pigskin!
Also, Tanner Lee did not throw at all today. Only did run plays. Coaches wanted to give Lee's arm a rest. He'll throw tomorrow. #Huskers

If you’re wondering about injury updates, it sounds like the wideout group is now even MORE thin than before.
WR Keyan Williams has re-injured his hamstring. Riley says "unknown" about return. #Huskers

Not saying Keyan was going to start, but it’s just another body down with less than 10 days to gameday.
