When it rains, it pours. Literally.
The ranch was moving deeper into the levels on the Drought Monitor as we had very little rain in June or July. The past 48 hours have brought somewhere around 7-8”, flooded roads, and flood warnings.
We went from trying to figure out how deep some of the cracks in the ground were to wondering if we needed an ark.
We are pretty grateful for the moisture and have no damage (unlike a few other places in Nebraska that had flash floods and excessive rains that flooded city streets and buildings).
I sent the oldest son off to school earlier this week for his first day as a high school senior. I can’t possibly be that old, so I’m not sure how we got here. I’ve only got a few months before I give him to the world. This is harder than when he went to kindergarten.
