I hope all of you had a safe and happy 4th of July. How did you spend your day? Working? Out on the water? Eating (or drinking) too much?

I did nothing, except get a few odd jobs done around the ranch. It was great. I should try to do that (nothing) more often.

At least a few people spent their 4th of July either competing or watching competitive hot dog eating. Americans really will make a sport out of anything, won’t they?

Joey Chestnut and Miki Sudo defended their championships with Chestnut bettering his own world record by eating 72 (seventy-two!!) hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes.
