The Husker men’s basketball team will start the Thanksgiving weekend playing in the Advocare Invitational hosted at the ESPN World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista Florida. The tournament will take place on November 23rd, 24th, and 26th.
The Huskers will first take on the University of Central Florida Knights at 5:00pm on November 23rd. This could be somewhat of a home game for the Knights as this tournament is being played in their back yard.
They will then play either Mercer or or West Virginia on November 24th. The first game will be broadcast on ESPN 3 which makes this an internet only viewing for the broadcast.
Other teams competing in the tournament are Missouri, Long Beach State, St. Johns, and Oregon State. Nebraska could play any of these teams depending on wins and losses during the three day tournament.
This could very well make it a second time in a week that the Huskers would play St. John’s as the Big Red will see them on November 16th at the Gavitt Tipoff Games in New York City.
