Good morning everyone. Jill’s got things to do, and I am in charge of your Flakes this morning. Normally I would have been up earlier to do them, but it’s the Summer in Texas, which means it never gets below 78-79 degrees in the evening time.
That’s fine and dandy for those that hate winter, but when you have a East facing bedroom, the cycle of heat and cold with the Air Conditioner kicking on makes for sometimes an unpleasant sleep cycle.
Anyhoo, on to today’s news:

LJS: Movie Night to follow Fan Day - For the first time, after the Nebraska Football staff & team sit out in the heat all day to sign autographs, there will be a reason to stay. With the new big screen in North Stadium, the AD found a way to show it off!
We asked, you answered.

For those grumping about wanting “a better movie”, it’s got to be kid & fam friendly you goobers!
Steve Sipple/LJS: Ex- Huskers advice to Freshmen: Prepared to be knocked down a peg - It is interesting to see Jeremiah Sirles’ thoughts on having to go against a Ndamukong Suh in his first Fall Camp. And, it’s good noting that every kid when they get to any college goes through this.

I know we’ve mentioned about how adidas has seemingly saved themselves from oblivion around here. That being said, couple people pointed out to me that the new deal between Nebraska Athletics & adidas was almost ready to go in March. Well, it’s the back half of July now, so there has to be a wondering when the new contract will be announced.
Filed under biggest surprise of media days: Tom Herman offered an impassioned case for Ndamukong Suh as the 2009 Heisman winner.

Okay, so I think Herman is a good guy for this. That being said, his obsession with how his players pee is still driving me nuts.
If you’re outside today, be careful. I know DFW has a high listed of 97, but it’s gonna be even warmer in & around Lincoln.
Excessive Heat Warnings will continue through Friday. The Heat Index may reach 110° at times. Hear more details @11 pic.twitter.com/sWlWTcKNKH

Shade, plenty of water/fluids, and rest when you need to.
PS, if you were planning on getting that deal from Vals today on those extra large pizzas, hope you ordered early.
#LNK is out of oven space for this special, but SOME #OMA and franchise locations still have availability. #Vals60th #ThankYouLincoln pic.twitter.com/Aln2GPp5aw
