Some guy calls me on Sunday, and he says he’s driving and bored, and could I please entertain him for a bit. What am I, a call girl?
Anyway, I asked him, “What are you most excited about for this upcoming football season?”
He doesn’t answer. I do. I am excited about pulling guards. This excites me more than anything else about the season. Last season we had a center who didn’t even appear to try blocking at some times. Because of that – the idea that the interior of our run game would collapse before the play even started – we didn’t have much of a ground game. This year things should be different. We should be able to pull guards. Having a pulling guard makes your offense much more potent. It makes your offense way more potent than most people realize.
What are you most excited about for this coming season?
Oh, thank God. One would hate to imagine would what happen should the sellout streak come to an end. I’m not being facetious, I’m being serious. The world sits on the edge of destruction every single day now. One can only imagine what happens if long standing streaks are broken.
What kind of dystopian society would we live in?

You can go on youtube and watch “Space 1999” in its entirety. I was in love with Barbara Bain when I was a kid. That’s weird, I know.
