Nebraska will fight for their life with their hottest pitcher in the past month on the bump. The Huskers send Derek Burkamper to the mound to face off against the Holy Cross Crusaders. The Huskers dropped thier NCAA Regional opener to the Yale Bulldogs 5-1, while the Crusaders dropped their late night opener to the top overall seed Oregon State.

Nebraska will need to find the bats to advance to play another day. The Huskers were held to just six hits yesterday by Yale’s Scott Politz. The good news for the Huskers is that they won’t have to face Politz. They instead get to see Joe Cravero (3-4, 4.68).
Cravero is a solid second starter, with 10 starts in 15 appearances this season. He was hard hit by Yale in his last outing, giving up six runs in just 2.2 innings.
Of note for the Huskers, Jake Meyers is in the starting lineup and is playing in center field. There was some question as to if Meyers would play after pitching last night, but it looks like he will give it a go.
