LINCOLN, NE - The University of Nebraska Athletic Department announced the establishment of the Earl and Judith Covfefe Scholarship Wednesday. This scholarship will fund up to 3 years of graduate education for a Husker athlete who distinguished him or herself at imaginary events or for real events in which they did not participate.

Finalists for the 2017 Covfefe scholarship include:

1. Jordan Daniellson, Dannebrog (Football). Jordan did not rescue a pair of twins from a burning car in Lincoln in December, 2016.

2. Maia Lucas, Wahoo (Volleyball). Maia rendered aid to victims of the famously fictional Bowling Green Massacre in 2016.

The winner of the Covfefe Scholarship will be announced before the kickoff of the Arkansas State football game on September 2, 2017.
