Big Red Cobcast: Husker Truth Tuesday

Ryan and Pat dig into their deep, dark Husker secrets, in addition to debating the merits of baseball. They also list a whole bunch of Nebraska towns.

If you follow us on Twitter, you know that every week we celebrate #HuskerTruthTuesday. By celebrate, I mean we created a hashtag and we are the only ones who use said hashtag.

But the point of it is being 100% honest about our thoughts, memories and opinions about the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Sometimes, we as fans, like to view things through rose colored glasses. Positivity is a good thing, but sometimes it clouds judgement and leaves us all believing things are better than they are. So sometimes it’s a good thing to suss out the truth from what we wish were the truth.

That’s what we do every week on Twitter, and now we’re doing it live and in living color on the Cobcast. Tweedy and I go tit for tat with our #HuskerTruths. And it gets real. It gets really real.

Included in the discussion is how excited we should be about Husker baseball and why. It’s no secret Tweedy is a trash person because he can’t get behind baseball, Nebraska or otherwise. So I tried to convince him why he’s wrong, and what he should do about it. Because he’s a friend, I took “jump from the top of the Hollywood sign until you land to your painful death” off the list. We may be doling out truths, but sometimes it’s still good to bite your tongue.

And to top it all off, we’ve got the ultimate bright spot from all of our podcasts: A COMPETITION TO SEE WHO CAN LIST THE MOST NEBRASKA TOWNS AND CITIES!

If you thought the Nebraska/Miami Orange Bowls of the 80s and 90s were competitive, you’ve seen nothing. The knock-down, drag-out, bare-knuckle brawl that was this competition puts it all to shame. Take a listen, and then give us your #HuskerTruths. Share your own, or pop a question to us that you’d like answered.
