This weekend was rough for me. First, I had to miss the spring game because of a new job, and then I was pushed out of the podcast for Big Red Cobcast originals Mike and Joe Canale. To be fair, they probably think I pushed them out of the Cobcast originally, so it’s only fair. But no less heartbreaking.
All that said, the weekend was also pretty great. There’s football on the field. Three four-star players committed to the Huskers. And Tweedy was annoyed by multiple children while recording the Cobcast without me. You take your victories with your defeats.
The guys discuss all of that and more. There’s excitement about winning recruiting battles. There’s quarterback discussion, including the size (or lack thereof) of Tristan Gebbia. There’s the inevitable Bob Diaco slobberfest. And most gratifying of all, there are minutes upon minutes of Tweedy being pushed to the brink by Joe and Mike’s offspring.
Having finally caught up on the spring game, there’s a lot to digest (and a lot that remains undiscovered), but one thing is for certain: September 2 can’t come soon enough.
Give the Cobcast a listen, then tell us in the comments what stood out to you in the spring game.
