Bishop Dunne in DFW sends the Huskers another verbal

Nebraska receivers coach Keith Williams is excited! David McGee

The Huskers picked up their first commit of the 2019 cycle Saturday afternoon as Marquez Beason committed to Mike Riley and the Huskers. Beason, a wideout from Bishop Dunne in Dallas, is the first commit in the 2019 class.

Beason is currently the fifteenth overall rated receiver in the class. He is the 133rd best player in the nation, and the 16th rated recruit overall in the state of Texas.

A slot receiver, Beason could theoretically replace the graduated De’mornay Pierson-El. Keith Williams and company were in early on Beason, who has already received offers from Arkansas, LSU, Notre Dame, and Oklahoma.

Beason has been used by Bishop Dunne in a variety of situations, and will provide Danny Langsdorf and company another flexible tool. With the elusiveness shown in his sophomore film combined with his 4.43 40 speed, Beason will be a nightmare to track out of the backfield for linebackers and defensive backs.
