Nebraska baseball players Ben Miller and Jake Hohensee earned Big Ten Player of the Week honors as Miller was given the award as the player of the week and Hohensee earned pitcher of the week.
Miller was amazing this week as he hit .600, going 12-for-20, hitting one home run, five runs, six RBIs and two doubles. The senior first baseman slugged .923 on the weekend, with an on-base percentage of .786. Miller entered the weekend with a .211 average and raised it 68 points to .279.
Hohensee shut down the Maryland Terps on Friday night, helping to win game one of that series. He struck out a career-high eight batters, and allowed one run on three hits over a career-high 8.1 innings as Nebraska won the Friday night match up 3-1.
