Nebraska Basketball: Michigan Obliterates Nebraska 93-57 On Senior Night

It’s the worst loss by the Huskers at home in Pinnacle Bank Arena’s history.

NCAA Basketball: Michigan at Nebraska Bruce Thorson-USA TODAY Sports

Well that wasn’t good. Nebraska got absolutely dominated on Senior Night at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Nebraska led 2-0 in this game and never led again as Michigan shot 63% onto a 36 point win. This was the worst loss in Pinnacle Bank Arena history for the Huskers. The question now is the status of Tim Miles. For the people that don’t want him fired, this game won’t help that argument. In my opinion, I think Shawn Eichorst has already made his decision as to whether or not Tim Miles will be returning. There is still another game as well. Nebraska plays Penn State on Wednesday afternoon to open up the Big Ten Tournament.

The Good

There honestly wasn’t many good things in this game for Nebraska. The Huskers stood zero chance in this game. On Senior Night Tai Webster had eight points. It would have been nice to see Webster get into double figures one last time. Ed Morrow and Isaiah Roby led the way with 10 points a piece.

The Bad

The same problems that have ben haunting Nebraska the entire season got worse on Sunday night. Michigan made 14 three-pointers and Nebraska had 16 turnovers. Sound familiar? Turnovers and three-point defense have been the issues all season long. It isn't getting any better either. Not to mention giving up 93 to Michigan on Senior Night... not good at all. Where does this team go from here? Can they win a few games in the Big Ten Tournament? I guess we will just have to wait and see.

What’s Next?

As mentioned before, Nebraska opens up the Big Ten Tournament in the 12-13 matchup against Penn State. Tip-off for that one is at 3:30PM and can be seen on BTN. The winner of that game will play Michigan State on Thursday. And of course what is the status of Tim Miles? How hot is the hot seat? Only time will tell.
