Every year that the NCAA has had a 8-team Women’s Bowling Tournament since 2004, the Nebraska Cornhuskers Bowling crew has qualified for it. And this year is no different.

Nebraska, rated #1 in the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) poll, was named the number 1 seed for the NCAA Championships, which will be held April 13-15th.
The Huskers, who have five NCAA titles and 10 overall National Championships since the club sport arrived in Lincoln, will be joined by McKendree, Arkansas State, Sam Houston State, Vanderbilt, Fairleigh Dickinson, defending NC Stephen F. Austin & Maryland Eastern-Shore in the 8 team tournament.
The Huskers and Stephen F. Austin have made the TV show the last two years. Nebraska took the title 4 games to 2 in 2015 in St. Louis, while the Ladyjacks took the title in 7 games last year in New Jersey.
Nebraska has been solid throughout the end of the season, winning four of their last six tournaments, and finishing their regular season with a 2nd place showing at the Big Red Invite at Sun Valley Lanes in Lincoln.
This year’s tournament will be hosted on the same lanes as the United States Bowling Congress Women’s Championship Tournament. This tournament will be contested on specially built lanes inside Baton Rouge’s Rivercenter, where a few USBC tournaments have been hosted.
