After dropping the first game of their five game road trip, Nebraska heads to San Luis Obispo to take on the Cal Poly Mustangs for a four game series. The Huskers will look to continue their perfect record against the Mustangs, as they have tallied a 6-0 record against Cal Poly.

For the Huskers, they will trot out the same rotation as the past two weekends. Jake Hohensee, Derek Burkamper, and Jake Meyers will throw in the first three games, with a starter to be announced for the last contest.

The Mustangs will counter with Erich Uelman, Spencer Howard, and Bobby Ay in the first three contests. The Mustangs have a TBA for the series finale on Sunday.

Uelman, Howard, and Ay are a solid trio of starting pitchers. Uelman has struck out 36 while walking only 8 batters. Howard, even more impressive has struck out 26 batters, against 6 walks.

As a team, opponents are batting .250 against the Mustangs on the season. Behind Uelman and Howard, statistical leaders on the Mustang pitching staff are Craig Colen and Cam Schneider as they each have an ERA under 2.63.

Batters to watch for the Mustangs include Alex McKenna and Michael Sanderson. McKenna is batting .356 on the season and Sanderson is second on the team with a .292 batting average. Offensively, the Mustangs do not look threatening on paper with a .252 batting average as a team.

The Huskers will look to bounce back from an 8-6 defeat to California State Univeristy, Northridge. Nebraska, who was on a four game win streak should win this series against a quality Mustang club.

Thursday: Erich Uelmen (1-3, 2.43 ERA) vs. Jake Hohensee (1-0, 1.29 ERA)

Friday: Spencer Howard (1-0, 1.27 ERA) vs. Derek Burkamper (1-2, 3.78 ERA)

Saturday: Bobby Ay (0-2, 3.95 ERA) vs. Jake Meyers (3-1, 1.54 ERA)
