The 2017 Big Ten Baseball season starts this weekend!
In the past I’ve complained about Penn State’s baseball schedule, but this year they start off the season in Fort Worth with a three-game series against #1 TCU. Rutgers starts at #22 Miami for a three-game series. Tough start for both teams.
You’ve been paying attention, and know that Nebraska starts against UC Riverside, right? Maryland, picked to win the Big Ten, goes to Clearwater, Fla., to face Alabama State, Ball State and Louisville in the Clearwater Tournament. Michigan, picked #2 in the Big Ten, takes on Seton Hall in a four-games series. Indiana, picked #4, will travel to Surprise, Arizona, to take on Duke, Gonzaga and Oregon State. #5 Michigan State will take on Abilene Christian in a four-game series and #5 (tied) Iowa will play a three-game series against South Florida. Minnesota gets UC Irvine in a three-game series.
Nebraska baseball will be available across the state on these radio stations.
If you’re NOT in Nebraska, and therefore not able to pick up the radio stations, you can still listen to Husker baseball on your phone using the Huskers app. It does require an in-app purchase, which I believe is $5.99 for the year. Some games will be available on TuneIn Radio, an app for your phone.
This looks like it could be Darin Erstad’s best team yet. That’s the hope anyway. Offense has potential, and there looks to be pretty good depth in pitching.
Nebraska projected #2 seed. Other B1G teams - Maryland, Michigan and Indiana.
Last fall, lifelong Nebraska football fan Roger Newman bought a racehorse. It wasn’t his first. The Omaha native has been been racing horses for about 10 years in the San Diego area.
This summer Nebraska will hold two Friday Night Light Camps in Lincoln on June 16 and June 23. They will also host Big Man and Skill Position Camps on June 13, which will use up three of their allotted 10 days.
This is the time of year when NFL coaches go searching for creative schemes to add to their playbooks. Here are 20 keepers from the 2016 season.
There’s no doubt it’s all about the money, but maybe how you count it is more important
The first fan-run professional football team in history, the Salt Lake Screaming Eagles, will kick off the Indoor Football League’s 2017 season against the Nebraska Danger at the Maverik Center in Salt Lake City on Thursday night.
Fans will be calling the plays. And everything else. Interesting. Maybe they’ll get the plays in faster than if a coach were calling them, maybe they’ll have 45 delay of game penalties.
Then There’s This
This is Wild. They are becoming somewhat well known. If you look hard at the video, you may notice that Tyler Thompson is the young man in the balloon. He’s also the young man who (ficticiously at my doing, changed his name to “9-4” a few years ago.
He is my daughter’s boyfriend.
Let me know what you think of their music. They are playing SXSW this year.
"Why does [state]..."
Well this isn’t very flattering.
