A lot of fans ask what the OL situation is in Nebraska football recruiting. Austin, Texas native Brenden Jaimes is the highest ranked OL member of the Huskers 2017 class. He has signed his letter of intent and is officially a member of the Huskers.

Jaimes, who hails from Lake Travis HS near Austin, is the 412th-best player in the 2017 cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite. He is the 45th-best offensive tackle in the class, and the 57th-best player in the state of Texas.

Nebraska got the commitment of Jaimes over schools like TCU, Baylor, Cal, Houston and a very late offer from Texas.

Expectation: With the way the youth of the OL is set up, Jaimes could very well be redshirted this season. One spot that Nebraska is young at is offensive line, and Jaimes can get his swole on and spend a year learning the offense and getting trimmed up in strength and conditioning.
