When Jaevon McQuitty made his commitment to Nebraska football all the way back on March 12 when he visited Lincoln, many thought that the Huskers would have to sweat him making it to campus. Not anymore.
McQuitty, a wide receiver out of Battle High School in Columbia, Missouri, has arrived on campus, signed his national letter of intent, and is in school in Lincoln.
McQuitty, a consensus four-star on the 247Sports composite, is the 42nd-best WR in this cycle, and the 2nd-best player available in this cycle from the state of Missouri.
Expectation: With how many spots are available on the WR depth chart in Lincoln this upcoming season, McQuitty is going to be in the fray to play early and often in Lincoln. Along with Keyshawn Johnson, he’ll be looking to make a dent into the WR depth chart by the time the spring scrimmage comes around in April.
I don’t know if you can call McQuitty a big-body receiver quite yet at 5’11, but with the width of his shoulders, you can tell that he won’t mind going against bigger DB’s, and will relish the smaller ones he’ll take on.
