Michigan State is good again. They are 6-1 with their lone loss to #1 Duke. They have two nice wins over #9 North Carolina and #5 Notre Dame. Nope, not a shabby resume to start the year out with at all.

They are lead by Miles Bridges who is averaging 15 ppg, 6.7 rpg, and 2.2 apg. All while shooting 47% from the floor and 83% from the free throw line. Miles has been picked as the preseason first team member and Big Ten Player of the year. He made the second team last season. The 6’7” guard is deadly and can make the Huskers pay if they don’t play him tight on defense.

Next to Miles is Nick Ward who was also picked as a preseason first team member. The 6’8” forward is averaging 13.6 ppg and 6.1 rpg. Jordy and the boys are going to have their hands full with him if he gets hot in the paint.

Nebraska has a history of taking down Michigan state off and on over the years. Not too sure this is the season for it to happen but it would be a huge win for the Huskers and a major confidence boost before games against #12 Minnesota, #25 Creighton and #2 Kansas on the horizon.

This is a beginning of Nebraska’s “Murderers Row”

Enjoy!
