Nebraska Women’s Basketball vs Washington State Game Thread

The Husker women’s hoops team closes out their non-conference schedule vs the Cougars. Join us to talk Huskers WBB or football bowl games.

The women’s basketball team closes out the non-conference portion of their schedule taking on a PAC 12 opponent in Washington State. It looks like freshman Taylor Kissinger (who was the team’s leading scorer until her knee injury) will either be unavailable or limited as she is not listed among the probable starters.

Sophomore guard Nicea Eliely, who has earned most of her playing time because of her defensive abilities, has stepped up to fill some of offensive production lost when Kissinger was injured. Junior forward Maddie Simon has also taken on some of the scoring load. She has made an impressive transition to her new role in the paint after playing guard her first two seasons.

There will be another game thread tonight when the Husker men take on Delaware State (7 p.m.).

If you aren’t a women’s basketball fan, there are also a couple of football games to talk about:
