The crootin’ whirlwind continues! JUCO whisperer extraordinaire and possible time traveler Ryan Held has influenced a talented teammate of commit Jaron Woodyard to commit to the Huskers.
Greg Bell, #3 JUCO RB, announced today his verbal commitment to Nebraska. Bell, the 6-1 200lb 3 star was 2017 WSFL offensive player of the year. After decommitting from Louisville in September, he chose the Huskers over Tennessee, Arizona, Arizona State, and others. He is an early enrollee and an early signer, so can have an immediate impact this fall.
Bell is a north-south runner with a good cut, and plenty of yards after carry. His HUDL highlights also show nice hands in the flat, and good pass protection as well. He will be excellent in short yardage and checkdown situations. This does cause one to wonder what Coach Frost’s assessment of the current stable of RB’s is, and what is going to happen with the roster moving forward. Twitter reactions:
