I’m currently playing Monopoly with a six-year old and I have to pay attention because I think she’s cheating when I look away. I forgot how much they changed this game, and became part of the “everyone should use credit cards” hegemony.

Plus when she puts the card in, she pronounces it, “12 thousand, 4 million” - who let this kid be the banker?

She buys Istanbul. I tell her it’s in Turkey. I ask her if she knows where Turkey is. She says, “Yeah, it’s at Target. It’s a big food!”
