Big Red Cobcast: The Legend of Bill Moos

I’m sold. I’m all aboard the Bill Moos hype train. The guy has won me (and the rest of the Big Red Cobcast crew) over. In my eyes, he’s already a legend. And it makes sense. All you have to do is look up some quotes from this weekend, and you’ll see why.

“Great moments are born from great opportunity. And that’s what we have here, tonight, boys. That’s what we’ve earned here tonight. One hire. If we hired against Florida ten times, they might get Scott Frost nine times. But not this hire. Not tonight. Tonight, we hire with them. Tonight, we stay with them. And we shut them down because we can! Tonight, we are the greatest college football program in the world! You were born to be college football administrators, every one of you. And you were meant to be here tonight. This is your time. Their time is done. It’s over. I’m sick and tired of hearing about what a great football program Florida has. Screw ’em. This is your time. Now go out there and hire Scott Frost!”—Bill Moos

“I see a whole army of Nebraska football administrators, here, in defiance of tyranny. What will you do without freedom? Will you fight? Aye, fight and you may die, run, and you'll least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willing to trade all of that from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take away our lives, but they'll never take our Freedom (Akinmoladun)!”—Bill Moos

“I see pride. I see power. I see a badass mother who don’t take no crap from nobody”—Bill Moos (looking in the mirror)

That’s our athletic director. And I now trust his every move. So jump on board the Moos train, everybody! And while you’re at it, jump on the Cobcast Express and listen to our latest episode, where we talk about Moos, Frost, Iowa fans and clumsy questions at press conferences for fired coaches.
