It’s time once again for Nebraska to take part in the Gavitt Tipoff Games. This year the Huskers will be playing the Red Storm of St. John. This is the first game. The games have been a yearly contest between the Big Ten and Big East conferences.
As of now the Big Ten holds a slight lead of 3-2. #14 Minnesota beat Providence, #19 Purdue beat Marquette, #22 Seaton Hall beat Indiana, and Creighton beat #20 Northwestern. Tonight #15 Xavier takes on Wisconsin, DePaul takes on Illinois, and of course you are here for our Huskers against St. Johns.
Only 8 teams from each conference play in the games every year. Last year Nebraska has a pass but was beat in 2014-15 by a then #11 Villanova, the eventual National Champion.
So sit back, crack a brew, and get ready for some televised Nebrasketball!
We have a double header tonight as the women take on Arkansas at the Vault!
