Northern Illinois plays another directional school this evening because that’s what Northern Illinois does. Did you know that the Huskies are 5-2 and first in the Mac West? Probably not. Their only losses were to Boston College (who suddenly isn’t horrible anymore) and San Diego State, a team that’s knocked off both Arizona State AND Stanford.

What’s all this mean?

It means Nebraska didn’t lose to a horrible team earlier in the season, although God forbid you bring that up because it results in this idea that the Huskers should NEVER LOSE TO A MAC TEAM and if they do, their coach should be drug down the street tied to a vehicle with all his skin rubbing off on the payment. Note that doesn’t mean Mike Riley. It means Scott Frost, too, if that bastard ever comes here, becomes Nebraska’s head coach and happens to lose to someone like NIU or Bowling Green (GASP!)

All them years ago when Michigan lost to Appalachian State? The Wolverines should have just disbanded their football program. Why go on? They haven’t won a title of any kind since 2004 and Lloyd Carr was still around.
