After a brief courtship over the winter holiday the Nebraska mens’ basketball team will have the talents of 6’9” small forward Isaac Copeland coming into the program. Isaac was in the middle of his junior year at Georgetown before he decided to take his talents elsewhere.
He and his family attended the 93-90 double over time win against Iowa on Thursday night. A game which I am sure helped win him over for the Huskers.
This former Big East All Rookie Team member was averaging 11 ppg and 5.4 rpg for the Hoyas before seeing his time diminish this last season due to injuries and up and coming talent in the program. Copeland joined the Hoyas in 2014 and was a four star recruit coming out of high school.
Copeland is seeking a medical redshirt for this season, but due to NCAA transfer rules he will have to sit out the rest of the 2016-17 season. If the medical hardship request is approved, be will be eligible to play at the start of the 2017-18 for the Big Red. We welcome the former Hoya and look forward to seeing his talents in Lincoln.
- GBR!!!
