Some of the news and notes from the last 24 hours...
- Nebraska WR verbal Tyjon Lindsey has set his Official Visit date.
I will be in the #402 Lincoln, Nebraska 1/27 - 1/29
— T-WAYNE... (@tyjonlindsey) January 19, 2017
OFFICIAL VISIT. #GOBIGRED @HuskerFBNation
He’ll be visiting with not only several other final targets, but also some of his classmates. Perfect situation for the Huskers.
- Nebraska athlete target Michael Onyemaobi will be making his decision and announcing on National Signing Day, with the decision being televised.
‼️ I will be announcing my official college decision live on Fox Sports on national Signing day‼️

I do still think that the Huskers lead here as of right now, but it’s going to be important to get him to campus sooner than later. TCU has come calling, and other schools will notice just as well.
- Oklahoma safety Kamren Curl will be announcing his pick later this afternoon in his hometown of Muskogee.

Expect Arkansas to win this battle, as it became apparent that once Brian Stewart left Nebraska, the Huskers were out of it.
- Don’t expect the Kurt Rafdal sweepstakes to end quietly, as Iowa is putting the full-court press on in Indiana today before the scheduled OV to Iowa City for Rafdal.
Iowa will have 3 coaches visiting TE Kurt Rafdal (@kurt_rafdal) today including head coach Kirk Ferentz https://t.co/YnS3bCSEOT pic.twitter.com/Sh9AZs4qp8

I do think that Nebraska really wants Rafdal, and will be using their relationship with him to get past the Hawkeyes. Iowa offered Kurt on Christmas, but the Huskers have been with him a lot longer. I don’t expect him to be taking the visit to LSU on the final weekend, so this is going to be important to keep the Hawkeyes from poaching a potential lock for Nebraska.
- If you’re looking for some mystery right now with this class, keep an eye on Oregon RB verbal CJ Verdell. He tweeted and then very quickly deleted that he was decommitting from Oregon. When asked about it, he was just as fast to dismiss the action.
@NathanOTIME it's not

Verdell was rumored to be a super duper secret official visitor to Nebraska last weekend, but I still can’t find a single thing that said it actually happened save some VIP/Premium content.
