The top-ranked Nebraska volleyball team takes its 27-match win streak to Illinois for a 7:30 p.m. match on Wednesday at Huff Hall in Champaign. The match will be televised on BTN and streamed online at BTN2GO.com. Husker Sports Network will carry all the action on HSN affiliates, including 107.3 FM in Lincoln and 105.9 FM in Omaha.
Nebraska will be playing the 1,500th match in program history on Wednesday. With an all-time record of 1,256-231-12, the Huskers rank first in NCAA Division I in all-time victories and third in all-time win percentage (.842).
Wednesday’s match marks the third straight Big Ten road match to begin the season. The Huskers swept No. 22 Michigan and fought back from a 2-0 deficit to beat now-No. 18 Michigan State, 3-2, in East Lansing.
Series History
• Nebraska is 21-7-1 all-time against Illinois. The Huskers swept the Fighting Illini twice last season. In the match in Champaign on Oct. 17, the Huskers prevailed 25-22, 25-18, 25-19 with Mikaela Foecke leading the way with 12 kills and five aces. Illinois last beat the Huskers on Nov. 26, 2014, 3-2 in Champaign. NU is 6-2 against Illinois since joining the Big Ten and is 3-1 in matches played in Champaign.

• Nebraska head coach John Cook is in his 17th season at Nebraska and 24th overall season as a head coach. Cook is 479-62 at NU and 640-135 overall.
• Kevin Hambly is in his eighth season as head coach at Illinois. He is 170-76 entering Wednesday’s match.
