Per University of Nebraska Athletic Department Release:
The Big Ten Conference will honor the memory of Nebraska punter Sam Foltz and Michigan State punter Mike Sadler with a special commemorative coin to be used this Saturday across all seven Big Ten Conference games.
This weekend marks the first full slate of seven Big Ten Conference games. Officials and captains will use the commemorative flipping coin to honor the lives of Foltz and Sadler. The coin was developed collaboratively by representatives from Nebraska, Michigan State, the Foltz and Sadler families and the Big Ten Conference.
After this weekend, it will be up to each of the 14 Big Ten institutions discretion to continue using the coin, or to use the traditional Nile Kinnick Big Ten Coin.
Nebraska plans to use the commemorative Foltz-Sadler coin at the remainder of its 2016 home games at Memorial Stadium.
