Nebraska Punter Caleb Lightbourn Named Big Ten Freshman Of The Week

The punter did good things!

Nebraska freshman punter Caleb Lightbourn was recognized by the Big Ten Conference as their Freshman of the Week today.

Lightbourn, a true freshman from Camas, Washington, played a big part in the Huskers 35-32 win over the Oregon Ducks Saturday.

Lightbourn had a career day, averaging over 47 yards a kick on his 5 punts, placing three of them inside the Oregon 20 yard line.

This is Lightbourn’s first POW award from the Big Ten, and the second one for Nebraska this season. Quarterback Tommy Armstrong was Offensive POW last week.
