It seems like Tim Miles got back on the scoreboard in getting a commitment in the 2017 recruiting cycle this afternoon.

Nana Akenten, a 6’6 shooting guard from Bolingbrook, Illinois, committed to Nebrasketball via his Twitter on Thursday afternoon.
Akenten, who just visited Lincoln this past weekend, has several offers out there from mid-major schools, including Illinois-Chicago, Buffalo, Toledo, UNLV & Wisconsin Green-Bay, among others.

Akenten is currently the only recruit in the 2017 cycle for Tim Miles. Technically, there’s still a committable offer for Aguek Arop, but it doesn’t seem like Arop wants to hit up the prep school way to get to Lincoln.
From our man David McGee:
This is Arop's replacement. Better shooter/scorer, probably, but sure about the defense, which Arop is really skilled at.
They're gonna need at least one more guard in this class and have some of their top targets the next couple of years coming in this week.... there’s only one open scholarship right now.
Nebraska could always use a big man, so that may trump all.
