John Parrella and the Nebraska Cornhuskers got themselves a Defensive Lineman from Florida today.

The Huskers get the verbal of Miami Defensive End Guy Thomas. Thomas, a higher end 3-star DE, is the 24th best Weakside Defensive End of the 2016 247 composite, while also being the 61st best player in the state of Florida.
With the interest of Nebraska, Thomas also had the interest of Alabama, Florida State, Auburn & LSU among others with 28 total offers.
Clearly, this is a guy who can come in and help out right away in the John Parrella scheme. It is also a nice surprise for the Huskers in a time that seems to have a lot of commitments coming along with a lot of other higher ranked schools.
Another verbal for the Huskers brings them to 13 verbals for the 2017 recruiting class. Nebraska should have room for about 8-10 more spots in this class.
Who would commit next? Good question! We will have that soon.
Great addition to the #Huskers family today, building the future from coast to coast! #GBR
