The Waukesha County Sherrif's Department has released the particulars of the auto accident that took the life of Nebraska Punter Sam Foltz Saturday night.
The accident also claimed the life of Michigan State Punter Mike Sadler, as well as injured Colby Delahoussaye, the punter for LSU.
Late Saturday, at 11:43pm local time, Waukesha Sheriffs along with the Merton Fire Department, Hartland Police Department and the Village of Chenequa Police Department responded to a single vehicle crash on Beaver Lake Road, near Beaver View Road in the town of Merton, Wisconsin.
The vehicle, which was being driven by Sadler, was westbound on Beaver Lake Road. The vehicle lost control on wet pavement, left the roadway and struck a tree. The Sherriff does state that speed was a factor in this crash.
Foltz and Sadler were declared dead at the scene. Delahoussaye was taken to Waukesha Memorial Hospital for further treatment for injuries.
The accident does remain under investigation.
Foltz, Sadler and Delahoussaye were in Wisconsin to help with the Kohl's Kicking Camps this week. You can see Foltz speaking in this picture.
