Nebraska Baseball ended the regular season with a flourish as they swept the Indiana Hoosiers, securing the #2 seed in next weeks Big Ten Tournament at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha. NU rode another supurb start from sophomore Jake Meyers to a 3-0 win over the Hoosiers. Meyers gutted through seven innings, scattering four hits. He only struck out one on the afternoon but kept IU off balance on a windy day at Haymarket Park, picking up his sixth win on the season and lowering his era to 1.38. Freshman Chad Luensmann picked up his 13th save of the season as well.
Despite the absence of star Scott Schreiber, who missed his second game with a groin strain, the Huskers used some timely hitting in the second and fifth innings to manufacture all the offense they would need.
NU next faces Michigan State in Omaha Wednesday afternoon to open their stay at the conference tournament.
