Nebraska Baseball Will Take On Michigan State Wednesday To Open The Big Ten Tournament

The Huskers start their Conference title chase 1pm on Thursday afternoon.

The games that matter have been played & are in the books and the Big Ten Baseball Tournament bracket is now out.

Nebraska, due to their sweep vs. Indiana this weekend, will be the #2 seed and will take on Michigan State at 1pm on Wednesday afternoon. The winner of that game will take on the winner of the opening round matchup between Indiana and Maryland, which would be played Thursday at 7pm.

Michigan State and Nebraska played three games in East Lansing back in the first weekend in May, with the Huskers winning the series with wins on Saturday and Monday.

Minnesota, who claimed the B1G regular season championship with Nebraska's sweep of the Hoosiers, will take on Iowa in the first evening game of the bottom half of the bracket. The winner of that game will take on the winner of the first round matchup between Ohio State and Michigan. That winner bracket game is scheduled for 9pm Thursday night.

Obviously, the more you win, the later your game starts in this tournament. So, avoiding the 9am first pitches in this tournament is essential for survival.

The 2016 Big Ten Baseball Tournament will be held at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, and every game is scheduled to be broadcasted by the Big Ten Network. For ticket information, click here.
